On January 9, ONSEMI announced that it has successfully renewed its long-term supply agreement with Li Auto.

Li Auto will use ONSEMI's high-performance EliteSiC 1200 V bare chips in its next-generation 800V high-voltage pure electric vehicles. In response to the partnership, Li Auto said, "Our goal is to form a product layout for the simultaneous development of extended-range electric vehicles and high-voltage pure electric vehicles by 2025, and in the process of converting to 800V high-voltage, a stable and reliable SiC supply chain is critical." In December 2023, Li Auto also signed a long-term SiC supply agreement with STMicroelectronics. Under the agreement, ST will supply SiC MOSFETs to Li Auto, whose upcoming 800V high-voltage pure electric platform will utilize ST's third-generation 1,200V SiC MOSFET technology in electric drive inverters.
